A note from us to you lil' bumpy

This is a lil note from us to you mr bumpy :)

We had our 36 week growth scan yesterday 28th November 2012. 

We were so excited as this is our last scan until we finally get to meet you in person lil' man. 

Daddy even managed to have the day off from work as it was Guru Nanak's birthday! Thank you Guru Nanak lol. 

We were seen by a lovely technician, and she explained to us that at first she will take down all her measurements and do her bits first . . . then she will turn the screen and let us see you.

As always you were lying quite low down but you have also been quite cooperative for the ultrasound technicians and let them prod around and do what they need to do. 

After about 10 minutes (well that's what it felt like) she let us know everything looks fine, you are head down and seem a good size. 

Then it was our turn . . . . and there you were looking all cute and grown, relaxing lol. You have such a lovely temperament. 

We got to see quite a lot of you and in so much detail, no pictures this time unfortunately think daddy and I were too amazed at all she showed us. 

Nowww . . . .the first thing you wanted us to see were your testicles . . . . yes lil' man . . . your lil balls were out and proud for the world to see lol lol. Even the technician said 'you have no shame' lol and that your daddy must be so proud. 

We then got to see your spine . . . looked all lovely full of bones lol, we saw your heart and she zoomed in so we saw your 4 chambers. We were able to see your eye sockets . . . daddy and I were all full of oooooo's ahhhhhh's wooooow's. We got to see your stomach, your bowels, your neck, your little legs and the little foot that is constantly up under my rib cage lol even your little toes & knees. She then showed us your hands and fingers and as per usual you had your hand up to your face . . . . . near your mouth . . . . we will not be surprised if you suck your hands/fingers when you are here. 

You were lying with your back to my left side and limbs to my right. 

You are now 2.84kg - 6lbs ish and she said you are growing consistently, which is good. 

So proud of you already lil man and you are not even here yet. Daddy and I walked out of their swelling with pride and in shock in all we got to see especially you and your testicles, and your eye sockets - technology eh. 

I text all your godparents and grandparents too to share the update. You already make a lot of people very happy lil man, and we love you dearly. 

Can't wait to meet you bubba.

I have also found a note in one of my notebooks I made when we first found out our bumpy's gender. This has just been one of the most magical experiences I think of our lives. I will make more of a concentrated effort to make notes/blog entries for baby boy so he can have a read when he's older. Seems like just yesterday we found out we were expecting, and now . . . we are around 23 days away from getting to meet him. How time flies!
